I am currently in the process of putting my car together i I need some help. The car came with a Allstar biscuit bar with 3 3/8" durometers in it. They are yellow I know they are going to be to soft for the track I'm going to be running on. What color or color combo would you recommend for a heavy fast track? I'll be running a 421 SBC with a winter's quick change with around a 6:33 gear ratio. I don't want to over rotate the rear end any help would be appropriated. I am used to the spring pull bar this is a first for me. Is it a good set up or should I go back to a spring style set up.

In my world, yellow is always faster but to each his on as to J-bar thrust and control of holding the left side down too much if a large angle is used! Preload setting on the biscuits also a factor! We got away from springs too but each can be altered! A spare is good to have! We went solid and shocked it! Easy change of location or shock! Allowing more movement only changes everything else to have to deal with! How far can it move or does it need too? If it hooks when slick it should have no problem when tacky!

AllStar.pdf (94.69 KB) Maybe this will help. I would go with the basic orange blue progressive setup to start with and adjust from there. You have the yellow so if the orange is to quick sub in the yellow and keep the blue. Dave

As far as gears and horses, I would have to say its way off and will peak out quickly! We ran 526s on our limited late on 1/4 mile and turned 8300 before changing 5 sets to get faster times at 526! Higher gears will pick-up speed faster and stay within the cams pulling range! A momentary de-tune was needed to get us hooked and moving as to handle the thrust! Its no good if you can't use it all! A little too much fuel and a little less timing for a few car lengths while standing on it and moving, picking up speed to handle the rest is better than waiting or feathering!
