I have installed a valve cover breather and attached it to my header to act like a vacuum in my pro mini mustang. I had a little pin hole beside my hose attachment on my header i missed when i welded it and notice that it was sucking oil out of my valve cover and i remove the hose and the inside of the hose is covered in oil. Is that normal and if not how can i stop it. Thanks Read more: thedirtforum.boards.net/thread/561/valve-cover-breather#ixzz34l1JSJD2

This is why a baffle oil recovery system is used! Overhead cams sling a lot of oil! Use the PCV system as designed with a larger engine's PCV if needed! If you have too much blow-by, look at the rings by checking compression! If good, your exhaust guides may be worn and forcing in exhaust by the stems! Look for ways of lessening exhaust pressures! A small hole drilled can give a gauge point! No square cut tips! Give them a nice long slope with a spin lip in mind to create a vacuum to suck it out faster! I have never used or ever needed such a system to produce horses or get rid of blow-by! If running a 2300 Ford design motor, the baffle in the lower block may be stopped up or defective but is needed!
