Making the switch to caprice spindles from metric spindles. I used US brake rotors on the metric but dont see any after market caprice rotors. I am looking for GOOD/STRONG rotors that are NOT made in china. What brand rotors is everybody else using with the big spindles.

Stock metric turned down lighter and re-drilled, works just fine with spindle savers! Are doing a crash test or you having too much rear percent problems or need a taller ball-joint! Ask away as to going faster or stopping! Hey! They make swords over there! Weight of the car as well as off-sets and spacers with too strong of a spring or bottoming out with poor shocks can have ill affects! A sticking brake or drivers foot can over heat and ruin ft brake as well as too tight on three wheel brakes! More rear works best as to nosing!

I switched to the tall spindles on my metric years ago. Most guys don't realize there are two options. The 73-77 camaro and chevelle spindles are the same geometry as the 78-90 caprice/impala spindles. All run an 11 inch rotor and 4 3/4 pattern. The 91-96 caprice/impala spindles are the same size but the rotor is 11.5" and 5 on 5 pattern. Calipers are interchangeable between all spindles. The 91 to 96 calipers have the 10mm brake hose bolt. All use the same 52 brake pad.
Old post but hopefully useful info.

Glad it helped. You can use the same calipers you have now. As long as you swap the spindles and rotors together it should be a straight swap.
