specs: springs: lf 550 rf500 lr 175 rr 150 bars: lr 35' rr 4' pan hard has 1" of rake.
I have a ton of bite on a super slick track, I've been killing guys coming off the corner and have been constantly starting 12-15 and getting top 3s (if I don't break). One problem I've been noticing is that coming out of the corner down the straight it's been trying to back the rear end into the flag stand. Anyone have any clue why? I've got the rear end square with 1/2" of stagger. It's not a huge problem I'd just like the car to drive a bit straighter without sacrificing drive.
On on a side note: I've found everyone at the tracks I race one have a steep pan hard bar rake and the flatter I go the faster the car gets with my setup.

Put a jack under the rear of your seat. Jack car up and watch what happens. With 35* on leftbar at rideheight you are getting a lot of rearsteer when hiked up. Probabbly not helping your driveshaft problems either. = Phantom309

Not having a stronger ft rt spring to hold the left rear from hiking-- yess more steer than needed! Too much left rear is the problem as drive adds to it greatly robbing right drive and pushing the car as only steered off of the left with it angled to the right in steer mode! Try the 100-200 split up front to hold left rear pounds and needing less to start with 80lbs should work just fine! Left rear is a must backing out to drag car left into the corner but right drive gets you around and off the turn straighter! Getting back to a close ballance to be correct! Both rears pulling the same!

This weekend I made two runs. I ran it with the existing setup and got 3rd. I took your ideas into consideration and here is what I did to fix the problem.
1.) I raised the rr bar up to 15* to loosen the car up 2.) I put 5" of pan hard bar rake in the car to get some roll center on the rr 3.) I put a 200 lr spring in the car
Keep in mind I like a super tight car that I can drive in the corner on or off the bar. These changes allowed me to steer the car into the bottom of the track, pick up the throttle and bite off the corner on a super dry slick condition. The rear end didn't try to beat me to the flag stand and it felt well balanced and drove straight down the chute. I've had to limit the hike down another inch just to combat the driveline binding up in the tranny (which will be fixed this week).
With that being said I led all but the last 2 laps because I got passed on the outside. I knew there was bite there but I didn't want to give up on the bottom.

Most tend to slow down and protect-- only natural! Only the last lap counts in winning off the corner! If still hiking it is still a problem anywhere on the track! Calm it down and put the pounds down instead of lifting the chassis! Pull both the front wheels and let nature take is course as to winning!!! ADDing another 30lbs. on the left rear in lead will not slow you down but alow being in the throttle sooner with out transitions killing your set-up!!! Topping out or binding is never NEEDED TO WIN!!!
