We won tons with the old Rodchester 2 barrel against them! Holley to Holley it would depend on so many factors I use in small runners increasing velosity and gas freezing from increased vacuum causing temp drops of molecular exchange making air and fuel smaller to get more in and then expanding on compression to have more than most can buy with bigger and better! Cams, torque, gear and limits on rpms can get tricky! On most engines I would have to say no-way! I burn twice the fuel in the a main as most do all night so its the air volume that you need by hook or crook! I speed mine up and get it there cold, consentrated and fast to expand on demand making more compression in the burn blast with a hotter burn that last longer than most with pump gas rather than high octane and loss of horses to build the compression to burn that kind of fuel!!! The moisture level in the temp exchange may be producing more hydrogen in the air to produce power! The condensation of moisture is concentrated H2 with O!!!

Ya, what flipper said, and to answer your question, NO. a 350 will give up to much to a 500 on a V8, just like a 500 gives up to much to a 4bbl. Get a 4412!

Running a .060 or .080 350 for years and keeping it cool is one thing but if the gas vaporizing creates refrigeration, it cools the intake and heads to alow more of a condensed flow of air and needing more fuel to match! Often borders on a lean mixture with so much oxygen being had with a hotter burn blast! Works best at 150 degrees and at 160 degrees not so well! Senitive to a fault! What engine temps are you running on pump gas and why is more the question!

350 carb can and will keep up with the 500 IF built right and the car handling is spot on. In the heavy you will give up quite a bit but mid to slick you'll be just fine. If you doubt this check the track champion results the last 2 years for Oskaloosa Iowa and see what engine he ran.
