wondering if .002 is enough for my pure stock motor prob turn 4800-5100 rpms, and main and rod bearing clearance

That's a bit tight. On the rods about 16-25 thou. On the crank 5-10 thou. Try and find the best rods to match as close as possible in your set.

I agree with lizard on bearing clearance.Side clearance on rods .010-.012 Crank endplay .003-.005

.001 on rod bearings and .002 on the mains and leave the side clearance alone with a stock oil pump and pan with oil restrictors and 1 extra qt will save you money and horses!
