I am running a bmod and looking to build a new motor. I am looking at building a 347 ford. I am planning on using a stock 302 block, a forged crank, forged i beam rods, forged mahle pistons, ported and polished gt40p heads with bigger valves, and a weiland 7515 intake with a 4412 holley. I will be using e98 for fuel. The compression has to be 9.5. I run short 1/4 high banked tracks. I was just wondering if it would be worth it or not. Thanks in advance.

Not bad, but the "F" word may make it a bit heavy on the wallet

If memory serves, the 302 (347) is about 40 lbs lighter than a sbc, which would be an advantange. It's going to cost more, but with availiabilty of custom camshafts having improved and the popularity of the Ford growing, it might not be a bad choice. I race against some very fast fords - one runs a 347 - so I know they're capable of winning. I'm not sure I would go with the GT40P heads if aftermaket heads are legal - but I don't know your rules.

.066 350 stroked .015 is your best bang for the buck with the right cam!
