The big red Light comes on if tied to the gauge system! I have added sensors to oil and temp and tied the two together as they both go to ground when tripped like in a car with no gauges! High dollar gauge sets have this built in! If no light, you are good and as fast as you will be going there is not much time for looking! The oil light before cranking will let you know your bulb is good! This can be connected with a 5 amp fuse and diode to the start button to light up when cranking with voltage drop being greater as a ground! Tie all three together on the ground ,sensor side! This may be a dim test when cranking if too big of a bulb is used! A side marker ,2 inch red light works well! Tie the other side of the bulb to the positive ign. side! Always fuse everthing in case of shorting of wires messing with you ignition! Use a separate switch and highest amps to feed ignition coil system! A quick grounding of the temp tells you its working too! A 200 sender if running cool gives a bit of time to decide if there is a problem! or if you have time for one more lap! No pulling off on the white flag or quick lifting when the light pops on as this causes even more problems! The same with the caution light on the track, unless you want to get hit by the guy looking at his gauges! Safer this way!

Great points Thanks for the advise! I have Autometer Pro comp gauges the oil press has warn light. I would like to change out the lights but dont think they can be dissessambled. I looked online but couldn't find any crediable information The lights are just to dim, Even warning light is dim. There is a 4 in 1 gauge made by Apc some people are saying is really good! Would make this whole issue so much eaiser with a all in 1 gauge with warn light and all. (oil temp, oil press, water temp, Tach)
Thanks for the Pictures very helpful very clean decking!!I also went with Flat black decking. Mine is not nearly as professional and clean as that. Keep them comming guys need more ideas.I'm trying to get this done tonight!
