We can't add weight and springs are 900lf 1100rf 175 rr 12in and 225 lr 12inch springs 50/30 rf 40/40 lf 30/30 rr 30/50 lr 50% rear 51% cross and 51% left.. No weight jacks or rubbers allowed alsoust stay with same height springs. 11 springs in the front and the 12 in the back.. it has 120 of bite in the car.. like I said great entry but as the car settles into mid corner it wants to come around and we have to ru n the same size dot tires 205/75/15 all the way around.

Is there any advantages to reversing the front springs or reversing them and going lighter? I currently have LF = 1000, RF = 1100, LR = 250, RR = 225. Shocks RF S7Z3060 / LF S7Z2040 / RR S9Z3030 / LR S9Z4020. My left is 52.5% Rear 54.6% Cross is 52.5%. I can run about a top 5 but feel like I'm struggling on the dry slick. Can't seem to make it roll thru the corner like some of the top guys. I noticed they are really rolling the whole car to the right. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

I have never seen any form of oval track racing that a reverse spring split wasnt a crutch for a bigger problem. I know many people do it, and they win races, But I dont like it. Since you can get 54.6 rear, I would get it to 54.6 left, rear and cross. Then put your 1000 in RF and a 850 in left. 200 LR and 175 RR. Get the front end as wide as you can ( 2" offsets) and tuck in the rears, (3" LR and 3-4" RR) Get the weight up as high as you can. You will need more stagger with the higher cross, so dont be afraid to go 3" in the heat and 2" in the Feature. Drive it in straight, the cross will make it loose off throttle, so when you lift, the rear will step out, as soon as it does, get back in it and let that cross drive it up off the corner. Post a pic of you in the winners circle! Dave Thanks. I will definitely try that. Are my shocks in the ballpark? I appreciate the reply!

Hey, Dave...
When you were running the 440# bite setup, where did you have your ballast mounted?

High, I had a 16gal fuel cell mounted above the top of the rear frame rails. All the lead was as high as I could get it under the deck. The Battery was also mounted as high as the cell. Need the weight up high so the chassis rolls over and gets that suspension working for you. P.S. Love the screen name (startonthetail)! Hopefully we can improve that starting position for ya! LOL Dave I would have thought that you would need to have the weight over to the left, too, as much as possible if you were going to try to keep the front wheel weights even. If you just cranked wedge into the car, wouldn't it make the RF quite a bit heavier than the LF? Can you give ballpark numbers on what all the wheel weights were with this setup?

Ill have to look up one of the sheets, but yes the weight was located to the left of the centerline of the chassis. No weight was right of the centerline. I did have some forward of the drivers feet mounted just below the dash level to try and keep the LF down. The weights across the front were within a couple pounds of each other. Dave Hey Dave was wondering if you ever got a chance to look up a setup sheet with your high bite setup. Or do you recall the cross% and Left% off the top of your head. Thanks Josh
