car is 4bar with j-bar (5" rake). We have done all we know how to do to increase forward bite. moved left upper up, etc. What could we be overlooking?

Turn entry.

wound you expound on that? Are you saying car is too tight on entry and car is broken loose to get into turn and causes a loose condition and loss of bite on exit? Or are you saying driver is carrying too much speed into turn or something else? We cannot see where the driver is slipping rear end to enter turn or that he is carrying excessive speed into turn.

Without seeing the car in action, I can't say for sure. Just a guess, it's too tight on entry creating a push-loose condition. Like I said, without seeing, this is just a guess. Most drivers tend to focus on exit first. My thoughts are, what comes first, entry or exit? If the entry is off, it will affect the entire corner.
What type of track is this? Is it a stop and go, or does the car carry momentum through the turns? Either condition will usually require different tuning and driving styles. I assume(bad idea I know) you are refering to a dry slick track.
As far as general adjustments, there are several that can increase forward bite. They also have the opposite affect at the end of the straight. Generally speaking, adjustments that increase drive off, create a looser entry.

If you will post all the set up it would help, %, shocks, pinion angle, tire pressure, type of track etc.

confused - i totally agree with what you are saying and we cannot determine that the car is causing the driver to create a push-loose condition. Car looks good but just cannot come off of the turns. We are also battling with the car not rolling over enough and getting enough side bite. I have become extremely frustrated with the car. Nothing we do works.

No forward drive? With out knowing your spring and set up package. Make sure you are not allowing the right front to travel to far and carrying the left rear on exit. Example: right front shock traveling 4-5" and left rear limited to 3-4". Think about weight transfer are all the tires working to there full potential? One tire hotter/colder than the rest? Might be a place to start.

From what Wash posted, looks to me like you need to start with increasing your bite. I would up your bite to 60-70 lbs. Will loosen car on entry but "should" give you way more forward drive if every thing else is close. Works for me. JMO.

Agree, raise the bite, also with the 225 in the rr may be the problem with the var not rolling over. Once you get it to roll over the side bite will come in and be able to drive on harder. Where is the pull bar located and what kind?Joe

pb is short BSB and is new. We ran higher lr bite of 60-80 earlier and had same problems. swapped springs on rear, same problems.

How is the driver driving into and through the corners?
If ya'll have tried all of the usuall stuff, something may be binding enough to keep the car from working. Is this something that just poped up, or has it been happening from the very start?

Might I also suggest, before you throw money at new parts, disassemble the front end and check EVERYTHING for binding. Had a friend that was having problems on entry for a few weeks. His LF caliper bracket was bent causing that brake to act erratically.

we originally had aftermarket lowers and bent one so we changed to stock lowers. we also changed from straight bar to jbar. Problems started and we have not been able to find or resolve the problems.
