Brad Rhodes Wins Eievacity Mini StockInvitationallAtRosebur

Roseburg, Oregon...July 14...Washington visitor Brad Rhodes scored the big victory in the 60 lap Eievacity Mini Stock Invitational event Saturday night at Douglas County Speedway. The event attracted a season-high 16 Mini Stocks, and Rhodes won by about half a straightaway ahead of fellow Washington visitor Terry Armstrong. Armstrong had a much closer battle as Josh McMillan ran right with him in third. Dale Roth rounded out the lead lap finishers in fourth. Eureka visitors Trevor Eacret, Brian Murrell Sr and Jordan Paiment we're next in line as point leader Karl Smith, Gary Carnes and Jimmy Smith rounded out the Top 10. Karl Smith set the fast time of 16.776, beating the 17.165 of Brad Rhodes. Tanner Dates won a photo finish over Jason Gotz to win the four lap A Dash, while Brent Murrelll outran Kieri Smith to win the four lap B Dash. Eacret, Roth and Gots won eight lap heat races.

Point leader Jeff Solberg picked up the win in the 35 lap Street Stock Main Event. Solberg's championship rival Dale Roth gave him a good run and finished a close second. Jim Redd outran Sam Brown in a close race for third as Monique Scevers, John Dumire and Bill Stewart rounded out the finishing order. Roth set the fast time of 16.728 ahead of John Dumire's 17.225. Bill Stewart won the four lap Trophy Dash and Dumire picked up the eight lap heat race win.

Dave Beals set a rapid pace in winning the 30 lap Hornets Main Event. Eureka visitor Tim Ratzlaff was half a straightaway behind in second and the final lead lap finisher. Mike McCann outran Logan Barron in a close race for third and championship contender Cherish Wilson, Bart Pulse, Pete Lemon, Bryson Lillard, Dylan Grichar and KC Scott completed the Top 10. Scott set the fast time standard at 19.499, beating a 19.611 of Beals. Beals won the four lap A Dash ahead of Brown, while Lillard won the four lap B Dash in front of McCann. Eight lap heat race wins went to Lillard and Beals.
