two bottom bars going forward on locked birdcages.no top bars. has a j bar, lift arm, and a 90/10 shock only.left coil over is behind rear end and right one is in front on birdcages.Does this sound right?

Three link or two link. lift arm instead of a pull rod. You can flip flop springs front and back depends on what you want the car to do. Off and On power. You can make anything work.

thanks, I appreciate the info.I'm new to modifieds and have only really seen 4 links. The car handles great just was a little tight. It's a Bmod so i think this setup will do just fine.

I wonder why the LR Spring is behind if the birdcage is locked. On this setup, does the lift arm tighten the setup so much on the throttle that they had to take throttle bite out by doing spring behind on the LR?

I have no idea, but I just ran it last night and it's still reallty tight.I havn't got to work on the setup alot b/c i have been having engine problems.i did put a 4in bs tire on the lr and a 2in on the rr.it had 3's all the way around before.seemed to help a little.it's tight going in on or off throttle no matter how i drive it in. pretty decent from mid off if i controll the push on the way in and dont get it loose.

There's two parts to a balanced race car. The front and back. If the car is to tight either the rear works to well or the front doesn't work well enough. It's better for overall grip if you add traction to fix the problem rather than take it away so I would suggest spend the time needed to make the front work as well as possible then make adjustments on the rear to get a balanced handling car and then look for ways to increase overall grip for speed.
The lift arm has a greater affect on the front than a typical pull bar set up because of its mounting proximity to the front tires and so I'm guessing the previous owner has the springs in such a way to free up the rear as much as possible.

Thanks lizzard.I'm gonna check the front out and look over the whole suspension.the toe is set at 1/8th out and i'm gonna measure my tires to see how much stagger I had.the previous owner said 3 in the back 2 in the front, but he had a 600hp engine and i'm probally pushing under 300.I was also wondering what some good starting air pressures would be for non bead lock rims.not to help the push but just basic pressures.the tires are a and d 40s.imc the shock is inside the coil.adjustable coil over,

Indexing location of locked cages with low movement still comes into play! A softer lift spring will allow for more change in steer with different locations as long as you don't loose too much pinion angle! I try to keep at least 4 degrees under power to keep it hooking! Left rear may have been used to raise the left side going in and may need a round or two to help it lift and roll over some by increasing the cross when off the gas! The other driver weight may come into this too if skinny!
