we run a metric200 after burning up 2 trans we knew were good we had one rebuilt which also burnt up after about 40 practice laps our rebuilder told us to pull cable out which also opens the pressure valve

i run a transmission shop the cable is a pressure cable for trans.pulling the cable out to max would give you wide open pressure if u run the transmission manually it shouldnt burn up if you run it automatically it want shift. they do make a universal cable that you can install and set pressure corecttly.my opinion you should go with a plain turbo 350 they are a lot tougher than a 200.it would pay off in the long run.

agree the turbo 350 is stronger thats why everyone uses them. the benifits of the 200 is the gear ratio in 2nd (we have a gear rule). also the 2nd gear(which we run in) rotating mass is quite a bit lighter . it does shift from 1st to 2nd with the cable pulled out and shifts like your power shifting a stick trans. have been called for jumping restarts starting in 1st. 2 full seasons on a stock rebuild and no problems (after pulling cable out)
