Hey guys new to the forum. I am getting back into Mod's after a 15 year layoff to raise my kids. I found a great deal on a Kraft modified that is complete and will get me back on the dirt for a decent price.
I will be running a small 3/8 s that is dry slick most night. My plan is to get this car and run it for a season and then upgrade to a new car or make it into a 3 link car. Possible?

Can you still win in a Leaf car? Under the right track conditions yes, but its not going to be a top car under every condition. Throw the Fast Boys Setup under it and see what you got. The conversion to 3 link should be no problem.

Thank you. Maybe I will just convert it right off the bat.

I have seen things go in and out in my years and as the pan-hard bar has made it back to the winners circle, it might be fun to re-design and run leaf springs again! The last home built clip leaf car I built ran second mostly and not under 4th for the season against full jigs, 3 and 4 links in a limited late class! At 2468lbs, 108wb it loved to pull both wheels. A .066 350 against dollars and a 421 in a 1900lb late-model just had no chance but it was fun trying! Two years in the building while off racing mods and they changed the rules on us!
