I'm really not sure what section to post this in - I have a 2.5 V6 5 speed front wheel drive,I seem to do OK on the straight aways but the corners are giving me trouble. I am running in 3rd gear on a .4 mile track, I dive into the turn braking a little then get back on the gas and the car seems to bog down. I have tried shifting to 2nd but that's not working because my RPM's are too high. Does anyone know of something I can do to help correct this? I am in a UCar class so the car needs to remain stock. I can't go into the engine or tranny. Will tire or rim size make a difference with the RPM's in the corners? Thanks for any help -

If you can't do anything to the motor, tire size may be your only option. Down sizing the tire should help with your RPMs in the turns. It will also increase the straight RPMs.

Getting the rear to steer more and toeing the front out 3/8 should correct the binding that is slowing and holding till you get straight!
