Need help selecting a set of shocks. Car is 3175#, springs: RF-900: LF-1000: LR-200: RR-250.The car handles very well, well enough to win the last race. We need a set of shocks and would like some help.

What shocks do you have on there now? Valving? Stock mount or Bearing ends?

Afco stock mount: RF: 1020 valve 7 LF: stock shock LR: 1030 valve 5 RR: 1035 valve 3/5 Want to get away from the stock mount. Installing front jack screws so have to change them.

YA I would get away from those AFCO Shocks. They probably give out after a couple laps. Take a look at the Bilstein Digressive valve SZ series shocks,. Much better and can be re valved and rebuilt, so can save money in long run.

I have seen people spend tons and have 40 shocks in the trailer! While we have run all the high dollar ones with all kinds of splits and adjustments only to win more with straight valve 3s,4s, and a 5 for the left front! the variation in split is key as is to springs! They are timing control of when and how fast you want it to happen! We ran all 1/4 mile dirt and longer high banks may need things to happen slower! The old rule was- soft springs stiff shocks and vice versa depending on weight on the front and rear! Easier on shocks and wallet with the latter!
