Hey guys getting back into racing after being out for 15 years and I have found a great deal on an older dw7 that has not been ran much.
I was told that overslung chassis are not good for USRA Bmod because I can't chain the lr to limit travel. Thoughts?

If you can't chain the LR, the only thing stopping it is the shock. Over time, the shock will fail from being topped out.
The front geometry has changed quite a bit since the DW-7 was built. I would look for something a little newer. JMO

I have a dw7 that's been updated and its pretty competitive so don't be scared of it for a good price. Mine is underslung though.

I have switched cars over and went from hiking and nosing on 3 to the front on 4 and lifting 2 inches in the rear to win 3 first as 2 seconds in five races when running tenth most always! Drivable old school on any track! Most any driver! A few horses by my tweeking didn't hurt!

Hey if it helps, you might talk to the tech guy about tethering that rear end on both sides. I traveled up to a little 1/5 mile bull ring in Atchison Co. Kansas, and im underslung, and they would not let me run without tethering the rear springs to the rear end housing. They have had 3 different mods kick out a spring and had them bounce off the front stretch catch fence.
That being said, overslung leaves nothing there to catch that housing if you were to break something, and it really needs at least a cable on each side to keep it from doing ugly things.
Tethering these springs really isnt a bad idea either.
