I have a camaro underslung chassis and was wanting to know if they are worth the trouble versus a overslung chassis. It was originally a limited late model so I am going to have to stretch the frame to get back to 108" wheelbase. Since I am going to stretch it I could just as easily convert it back to an overslung chassis. Which is better? Pros/Cons

I guess it all depends on what rear suspension setup and how much travel you will have.

It will be a leaf setup on sliders, front mounts in stock location.

I prefer underslung cars. It helps to stiffen the back of the frame quite a bit. You need to make sure the rearend housing doesn't hit it, mainly on the left side.

A good 4 fingers of clearance on the left and 3 on the right. If front spring mounts are variable I would drop it a 1/2 inch to make the left side hook before the right and a 25lb stronger spring than the right! This really helps getting off the corner while rolled over!
