I have never thought of nothing exotic about my set-up and the use of caster or camber to a simple advantage is far less than any use of a j=bar to hike or give traction to a car! This is simple at its best with a safer car control! It lets the driver control the roll steer and left rear poundage easily! Nothing about a dirt car is simple, but adding caster is doing what the roll does with the steering wheel or you can just lets nature take its course while you fight it all the way around the turn in stead of simply turning the other cheek to go the way you want! Have you ever noticed when sitting still in your vehicle and turning the steering one way or the other the amount of twist it has to control roll! This with heavy springs that don't give much and equally loaded where as springs on a dirt care are softer and give! You are straighter with less roll or ills in a setup if using anything to an advantage! I am the basic simple set-up with safety and drivability for beginners in mind and those old farts like me who want to be in control of their ride while on the track! All set-ups are a package deal to make them work or every part of it can fight you all the way with each thing affecting every thing else! Anyone who ever drove my set-up came in and said (No wonder you guys always win)!!! The horses I find in a engine amazes them also but it needs to hook and be drive-able to win and it is within a working range of any track we have been to in 4 states with out changing a single thing! Not perfection but a middle ground that does cover slick or tacky at all speeds high or low with the extra caster working for you and never fighting or radical by any means! Great in traffic and instant turns either way with out up setting the hooked process! A new aspect to string theory on the track founded in hard core racing 35 years a go that has made things easy on us to win! We also ran different spindles threw the early years of all kinds but the ills of such things to make other ills work that had to be adjusted constantly to perfection! That is if the track didn't change! Being on the track in 10th or 2nd place did not appeal to me or any of the drivers! If you start to spin, caster saves you! If its too tight, turning left takes it away with caster by steering front and rear! Have you ever backed up fast and how much steer did you need then with negative caster at work! Just some food for thought if you like missing wrecks too and winning races! Check out all my post in every class as it works on any car the same way, even leaf spring cars! Weight transfer is the key to drivable and extra caster does this for you with the steering wheel turn!
