We just leave colors and designs to the experts as computer cuttings and three layer prints can get technical! We do install them our selves unless they just insist on coming to our shop and doing it to make sure there job is complete and what we ordered! Up-starts are willing but not so graphic! Back in the old days we had a painter who with a twist of his brushes made a custom design of 3 colored letters that was amazing to watch trans-form a plain chassis to a full fledged race car of design! Now days a wrap is common but needs more help to install! I miss the paint! We could always touch it up and keep our car looking new!

I bought a vinyl cutter off of ebay about five years ago. I was running a hot rod show at the time and i made all of my own road signs, show signage, sponsor signs, etc.
There's a discount sign supply shop nearby and I bought all my supplies there.
You don't need to buy a very expensive machine… I think mine was about $250.00. Since I have Mac computers I needed to buy an old Windows laptop for $50.00 to run the software. I'm not very computer literate but it worked fine… I sold it for more than I paid for it. Just beware of overseas sellers on ebay…

I bought a Redsail 720 off Ebay close to ten years ago. It works fine for basic lettering, but if you get too fancy, it runs out of memory and locks up. It works fine for what I do. I'd say it's paid for itself, but I never tried to use it as a money maker.

I have a 24" master cutter. I wouldn't get anything smaller, you can do your door and roof numbers much easier then with a 15" cutter.
