I would say F as it is a bit thicker as to jetting in the power-glides we have ran! I haven't heard but after going to a synthetic to stop wearing our rear gears out every 8-10 races with additives and service and inspections every couple of races, a light synthetic motor oil may be best! I have seen a cooler pluming job on them when running trany fluid also! They just used the drain and fill plug holes with a 3 loop copper 3/8 line with a pipe T close to the top at the fill spot. Heat makes it circulate as long as not mounted higher than fill line! A small cooler should work as well if mounted below the fill level! New tail bushing, bearings and seals are recommended for thinner fluids! The vent as well may need a up-grade!

Dexron here for years. most trucks and performance cars with manuals call for atf from the factory now.

I have never heard of it but with synthetic and a cooler system it should work as well! It is used in front wheel drives and transfer cases in 4 wheel drives! Transfer of fluid from side to side may need some inner restricting at the right center of axle tube as is done on some 9 inch Ford usage! It should be a power gain worth doing!

I've used Gm syncromesh fluid in my Triumph TR's, my bride's Mazda Miata, stocks and such… works really good.
The old MOPAR New Process 3 and 4 speeds from the 60's-80's were the first modern trans to use ATF.
