Spoiler ? = Rules say 8" max. I'm building one with adjustable pitch from 80* down to 5* so I can stand it up or put near flat if needed. Good or Bad Idea or waste of time ? I race 1/4 to 1/2 mile tracks. VintageMod

If adding weight to have a 61-63 rear percent, very little spoiler will be needed! Down force is pounds too! If it were me I would get my rear up and regroup! 300lbs is like having a passenger in your truck! You can't tell the difference unless stuck and he is standing on the rear bumper! How many horses verses weight there compared to a racecar's power and weight! So many ways to improve! So many false tales of rear weight slinging! Store bought dist. or carbs! Not on our cars! All have 150 low left rear to make my setup work to win with left weight and right steer and drive to match it out! 518 or 526 gears may hold the beast! Check out all my other upgrades!

I like adjustablity in cars. More angle for flater, slicker tracks and less for fast, locked down tracks. Anything that you can do to hook up is not a waste of time. You may need to make some other small changes to get the neutral again after changing the spoiler angle.

I always wanted to put a spring on one but my tech guy said no after being a lap ahead already! Air density and speed would control bite! A good wax job might help too as to the drag! Polymer technology has improved many a body's air drag! We used to have a add-on over lay with snaps good for another 2 inches if needed! Topless classes seem to need more or at-least some lead to make up the traction loss of the tops down-force!
