I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I’ve been a “lurker” for a few weeks now and have found tons of great information!
My question is: With older F-Body cars getting harder to find at a reasonable price and G-bodies being sucked up and put on 26” rims… What is the next logical car to fill the dirt racing gap?
Thanks

Most have been jigging chassis for years in the upper classes! Some try in the lower ones! Compacts are doing well putting on the show here for years! Trucks are holding their own in classes where 3100 or so weight limits are in place! Give me a stick horse and lets get on with it! Glad to see someone else is paying attention!

thanks for the reply. We have the compact class here as well, and it's fun to watch them! But building a "cheap" V-8 car is getting hard to do because the donor cars are getting hard to find. I can almost buy a used EMod for the cost of building a Street or Pure stock Monte Carlo. Do you see "Stock cars" going to the wayside and "chassis built" cars taking there place as entry level rides?
Thanks!

Our cars here are pretty close to it now as to cheating or just being out classed! Full late chassis in supper stock and sheet metal bodies for years in hobby! Most any once race ready cost about the same to run! 300 a night in town if lucky!

OH IT"S COMMING SOON!!! Bought chassis and sealed engines only! The crate lates are very fast with the side-panels to hold them from spinning in the turns! They have choice of two motors with a pidly weight rule! We used to run against 60 cars! They all ran heats, had A and B mains with consie and options to advance! Everyone got race two or three times with one class! You had a few who sand-bagged to win every race! The stupidity of it all was points were the same with no mandatory move up after winning rule for a couple of weeks! Or SOMETHING as to evening out the field with points! Draw straws after the race to see which race gets the points that night! That may work!

Sure, there's a good source! They can call them OVER MODIFIEDs! I don't know about the weight but may be our only choice until complete jigs are favored! Its just a piece of metal and all steel jig chassis with weight rule and a rear percentage rule in place should do the trick! This would make all makes equal in weight classes! With out a rear percentage rule all would be lost! What do you think would be a fair assessment? ---56-58? Have a stopping point 1/2 off the scales to test! There is always a way to get it done!
