How can a NATION of racers on one site share so little info! I never met a racer unwilling to help someone else!!! The finest group of friends, as long as ( not on the track ), you would ever hope to meet! Sure the heated at times but nothing last forever! We in this Forum have so many members not willing to share or learn that the visitors stay out! Yes I know things were different before I posted my first 2 cents worth of useless garb, I have been told! But what better to do with my time than to at least try to help others!!!! GUEST -- Please join in and put these guys back on the site by input of your needs or views on any post as I have! My views on things comes from today and not the dark ages of barbaric rule! Please get involved and make this site whole once more to improve your game, group, and car! A third penny in motion and rolling left and free powered by the fall of the dollars in racing!

Some prefer to run in circles but after switching from a strait line to just how fast can a car go through a curve I found that less roll and steer was needed if keeping the straits longer and the car straighter to be faster! Still having to turn on a dime had to stay in place if needed! 4 wheel instant steer at the drivers command just needs a nudge with the correct cross and left! Holding both in check required not moving either to be consistent to adjust the roll factors by G-forces created by the speed, track and driver turning! Pinning my left rear movement of the frame with lead LL&R being a easy adjustable fix! While having the lightest car on the track has merits only after adding left and rear to keep it planted rather than the restriction of constant gaining down force of air pounds of drag! Roll may add holding in the corner in air but you don't stay there for long unless circle racing! Raising the ft. or dropping the rear and nosing all has aerodynamic qualities in holding! I am all for that and use it as well but not at the cost of drag of extremes! Going faster makes less more and more lead momentum going in than air slowing gives in forward motion! It being in the center of the pivot rotation ( left rear wheel weight ) it has little sling affects to need holding with air forces of drag! A heavier car with no spoiler if did correctly is faster and more free to pick up speed! Checked your cars qualities lately in the straights and turns of controlled down forces or free roll! Just add what you need or hang up a sign for help! If you ever toted the flag a lap you know what drag is, even at slow speeds and the in line of drag you get is great! Then consider the added gravity by air density changing! Quite a load to over come with more angle nosed into the body instead of less when on the throttle! Thin see why circles are not faster than getting off straighter with out the drag of air trapped under the car pushing you high coming off! Does anyone see this point in faster?

While friction does exist on the track and passing gets dangerous at times, the inside line is best chosen! That wall doesn't move over much to give room to pass when crowded! Driving under and taking the line is not fastest some times but you need not stay there once ahead! Squashing the egg of circles or a high to low run coming off the hill leaves others mashing harder and steering more right with there rear on most cars opening the door down low as right front steering to catch it moves both ends of the car up the track! While running a line may be faster per set-up, drivability holds the latch key that swings both ways with un-hinged power of side bind in any turn you wish to make! Free to steer at will to drive a better race if not faster does have its merits after a few laps as most choose their lines! A space to get this run has to be timed and not giving you line would be in order also, but when trapped inside the very high outside in the turn may yield a car length or two at a time! Clearance is still the best cure for some kinds of friction on the track!

Round and round we go in connecting the crew chief to the driver! Learning and teaching is a race in its self! I have never made a lap and so I can't talk driver feel but a wide smile says a lot! Most cars have to fit the drivers needs or its slow go! Telling them to put it in a little harder to make it work when the feel is off, is not a good thing! You already know they were feelings its limits! Over driving a set-up is a plus on their part! Most changes take only one lap to be better or worse! Just talking about it in the shop is best said by looking at the car! I see it on the track or sitting still, but with the driver in the seat doing what they do best! Hard to do, if both! Talking to your self and arguing or blaming must be the pits! Drivers often talk to other drivers but I never here or even listen in for fear of learning how to drive! When both I am sure lots of positive good come from this but only if driving one car at a time with both driver's weight being the same! Having a gut feeling to me is time to go and not just a adjustment needed! A shut up and drive and trust your chief may improve lots of adjustments or give the driver seat time to adjust to the car! If it needs it do it! But never go back, a good plan deserves carful fore thought in making it work after the change!

How does you car feel on a faster right handed run? It does tell us something about set-ups but are we listening???
