We went back to our roots in racing bombers and cruisers in pure stock to help our 3rd generation new driver to learn the ropes of what makes things tick, in driving and safety in the shop as well as on the track! A real new racing outlook of driving came about in calming things to be smoother in the turns! Drivability pays off once adjusting the drivers understanding of him having to straighten out the all dents and fix all he brakes each weak! A lots of drivers protect more than drive and this is learned in finishing a race! Full potential of car and drivers can be had if a good understanding of both are considered! Having too much motor can shadow a good drivers potential! Having too little motor and improving it from the outside is learning how in both worlds of shop and tracks! Winning his first race on dirt with a over slicked tract coming from the rear by a 1/2 car off the last turn with reverse stager was a win to remember! Don't try this at home! Some drivers would not know the difference but loose going in to a fault and needing to be completely sideways to only straighten on exit took timing and charging harder, farther in, with better throttle control! Once understood, it was not needed again to win! Letting the car do all it can sometimes requires the drivers understanding of what things a car can do and the ones you never want to change for there ills! Most car and driver attitudes can be easily changed by wanting to win! Have you had a serious adjustment talk lately with either?

Its hard for me to just adjust something on anyone else's car not knowing everything about their set-up! If most only know of few setups or how they react my answers may seem off-key! So I ramble on in my process of information in the flow of my thoughts, So does each and every change you do on a race car! Getting to the roots of most problems created prior to need a change to correct them demands 5 more maybe with less ills is not a setting point for me to chose from! I want to see it win right out of the shop the first run!!! Even 1/2 or end season out of the box and kick ass! It wouldn't be so hard hands on but posting and a second finish isn't too bad for just punching buttons I guess with you guys all over the US! If you've read my post, you understand now how serious I am at what I do best, not driving or adjusting your setup but just seeing the ills in all the rest!

It seems the ropes are getting longer and more tangled with more racing! Use of todays chassis set-ups of hiking leaves it more of a one-lane track of waiting on someone to mess up! Drivability is a show in its self but still others think in terms of pulling the left ft. wheel up higher, they always have! We all must face the facts of what is more important, having left rear and not loosing it or gaining more to compensate for the loss or lack in the set-up!!! Transfer is best measured in pounds instead of inched moved that changed other factors in the process!

While running the lower classes, if 1.6 rockers are allowed it would help you to do so! It can add new and better flow in the engine! A little prep in the push rod clearance at the heads has to be checked and fitted! In some cases push rod length may help them clear! It adds 25-30 thousands lift also if limited to a certain lift! Running a little lash with them and compatible lifters ( hydraulic with a tougher top snap ring, not a bleed off) can really change a cam profile at the valves for the better! Check the spring tension while there and add a .060 shim if needed! It wont run like granny's wagon any more!
