I'm switching to 180* headers next season and am thinking about wrapping them to reduce heat where they pass close to the distributor. I'm looking for opinions on header wrap. PROs and CONs. Thanks

Holds the heat but cooks the pipes! Cracks and rust abounds! Re-jetting either way you go most of the time! Jet coated is better if legal! Money well spent in longevity, room, safety, and power! Buy some ear plugs and plenty of Excedrin!!! One season if lucky!!!

It helps to reduce radiant heat but it will cause the headers to rust out faster. It holds the contaminates and heat against the tubes.
I ran some before on chassis headers on asphalt. The headers were flaking rust after a season and a half.
