We can run any dual plane intake manifold in our Hobby Stocks with 4412 and adapter. I have two to choose from. I have the Weiand Warrior (used to be Stealth) and an aluminum Chevy piece (#10185063) from a ZZ4 crate engine. I'll be turning 7000 max. Which one would be better and why?

Thanks guys. Most of my competitors run an Edelbrock Performer RPM. Do ya think the Weiand is equal?

Alumium sucks heat to it! Give me a old model q-jet cast iron and I'll put frost on it.

Alumium sucks heat to it! Give me a old model q-jet cast iron and I'll put frost on it. Yes, Aluminum conducts heat better than cast iron. It also dissipates the heat better.' Ever look at the heat sink in your computer. The fins are made from aluminum for that reason. So is one manifold cooler than the other? Im no scientist but I'll say no. I would think the aluminum will get hotter quicker but hit its top temp and dissipate the rest. The cast iron will get hotter slower but may reach a higher total temp because it doesnt dissipate the heat as well. All in all, they will both get hot eventually. Ill take the 20+ lbs high off the front end and put a phenolic spacer on either manifold. That just my .02, but like I said, Im no scientist LOL. Dave

Well let me see. Vacuum, velosity from runners. fuel vaporizing producing refridgeration. I am puting frost on the pumkin cooling the whole engine to 150 while burning 12 galons of pump gas just in 20 lap feacher on a 1/4 track and the plugs are snow white. There is more out there to learn even for me and I keep trying.

the performer rpm is about the best dual plane the stealth is pretty equal to it, prob couldnt tell the differance if any.

I had a friend who had a intake glass beaded and used last years radiator with out cleaning just to get to hot lap with me trying to get him not too! It flew until it blew up from vapor-lock from all the heat in the intake sending a static spark to one rod. Number 3 of coarse, crank was black with no damage of heat to rod or bearings. It was the loudest and quickest and the shortest pop! A lot more horses if cooler!
