Engine placement in chassis- I am building my bmod from a roller that was ford powered (it's a '02 ProChassis) I am currently installing my shortblock 350, with the afco standard engine mounts and the midplate, the oil pan is currently 2.5 inches below the frame rails. This is a metric chassis.

I had to do the same with my sourthern sportmods chassis. Had to move the misplate mounts as well. Our rules say min. 11" from center of crank to the ground. So if your allowed a minimum of 5" ride heights from frame rails that would be your base measurements to start with. Once motor was set I Also had to move the cross bars and radiator mounts

I never go low as per weight shift and transfer! Stock links and spindles have worked great with no parts problems! Limited or mods!
