Looking for discussion on running a 13in spring rr on c/o in front on b/c compared to a 16in spring, same wt spring. I know when we ran spring on top, it made a difference between an 11in vs 13in. Thanks

The only differences are the height and the physical weight. There will be no other difference.
The reason it made a difference before is because the height of the top of the spring was different. The car feels the top of the spring change.

Thanks for the information and it had to do with using wt. jack bolt vs the c/o mounting points I guess. Thanks again.

the spring rate shouldn't change as rapidly with a 16 inch spring compared to a 13 inch spring on compression....which means your spring rate should be more accurate throughout the movement range.

Thanks, what about the lr and angle in it? I've seen late models with a attachment that would allow you to stand the lr straight up if you wanted to. That should make the spring stiffer acting but what does it do to forward drive? Thanks

The spring rate is the same wether it's a 11,13,16, or 20 inch spring. The rate is base on pounds per inch of compression. A 20" 200lb spring will require 200lbs to compress it 1". A 11" 200lb spring will require 200lbs to compress it 1" The rate does not change with a hieght change.

If I'm following your thoughts, on the lr it doesn't matter about the angle as long it doesn't bind up? Thanks

Hey Wayne, he asked about the spring angle. Try to keep your slow brain focused, youngster.

OLDtrack 4x, or something like that, my reply wasn't to the OP. It was for the other person. I know it's difficult for you up in the mountains with all that thin air.
