I have a rules meeting coming up soon, looking for a little ammo for other classes stupid rules in other areas of the country and rules that have come up that may be a good thing. Possible pro's /cons etc. my biggest argument right now is I'm so sick of hearing metric drivers complaining about camaros(leaf cars for that matter) and proposing being able to move front upper control arm mounts "around" on ANY car. Also allowing lead. I'm to trying to re-invent the wheel here, but at least try something.

Maybe it's me, but I'm not really sure what you're looking for. If it's just stupid rules that we've seen over the years - this thread could be a long one. My first "pet peeve" with rules is: Don't have any rule you can't enforce. I raced at a track that had a weight requirement and didn't have scales. I've seen proportioning valves outlawed as "traction control" and a weight penalty for running a 6 cylinder instead of a V-8. The class I race in allows the 9 inch floater or the OEM metric rearend, but the non-floater 9 inch is illegal. And I've never understood why classes that require a 2bbl -4412 OK- and cast iron intake will require a 2bbl intake with an adapter. 313 manifolds are getting rare - and expensive - where if they allowed an OEM 4bbl cast iron intake with adapter they would save drivers a lot of money. Trust me, your track doesn't have a monopoly on stupid rules.

If you let me adjust the front A arm mounts ans add lead to a metric, I will beat the Camaros. If not, I would run a Camaro. Dave

Out here no lead is one of them. We are required to use the carb that came Stock on he car (mostly q jets) I see what you mean by that 96 on the uppers being moved, a guy got caught last year thata a front runner w/a metric. A lot of guys run camaros, and only a few metrics. I have not seen many metric be able to keep up w camaro/novas wit th rules we have. I'm sure that this thread can be long. I'm just looking for a possible way to bring up how to get the metrics even with camaros without going straight up imca style

having to run a cast iron 2 brrl intake, with vortech heads, everyone has to go buy a 400 dollar marine intake, instead a 189 on a new alum vt , or 75 at a swap meet.
