When replacing a yoke on a ford 9" with a solid spacer is there a torque spec to use or would you just tighten the nut until it's snug.

I know there are tools for this, but most dont have them ( me either) so I would make sure all the forward aft play was out of the pinion with spacer installed, adjusting spacer shims to just achieve zero play, then slide in yoke and thighten yoke nut until I have some drag on the bearings while turning. Its a feel thing thats hard to discribe, but you dont want it to spin freeley (zing) you want to turn by hand and have a firm feel but not so tight you have to use force to spin the yoke. I hope that isnt babble, LOL set up a ton of rears this way and never had an issue. Lock tight on the nut!
Dave.
