This is the first year we are allowed aftermarket tubular upper a-arms. Currently I have spacers used in conjuction with stock uppers. How would it change roll center to use an upper a-arm that would allow direct or closer mounting to the factory mount?

Not sure what your asking exactly? But if your playing with front roll center then changing the height of the inner mounting point or the height at the upper ball joint will change the roll center. So you have stock mounts, so the inner mounting wont change, and the only way you are going to change the balljoint height is to use a taller balljoint or use taller spindles. If you cant move the stock mount, and your going to use the same balljoint and spindle combination all you are going to accomplish is saving a little weight by putting on stock replacement tube A arms. Now if you can move the mount a little, then installing a shorter RF A arm will help. You always want a longer A arm on the LF because you cant get any positive camber on the Left with stock arms.
