I saw they were $89 from Harbor Freight the other day for a new one.

I had a new craftsman one I bought for 199 and it went out after the 3rd use. They wouldnt even fix it. Asked my local hydraulic repair shop and they wouldnt touch it. Assuming it'll be cheaper to replace it.

My craftsman jack did the same thing. The piston seals failed and the release swivel failed. I contacted the manufacturer for parts and they confirmed those jacks have had few issues. All stem from "dumping" the loads and turning the release handle too far to the left. After I stopped dumping the valve and only turn the handle 3/4 turn I haven't had another issues in five years. How ever, you shouldn't have to have to do that to begin with.

Just my .02, but I bought a HF Alum jack 6 years ago, and have never had a problem with it. I made some angle pieces for the front so it wont sink in the dirt, bolted them on and it works like a champ. Maybe I just go lucky with this one? IDK
