Its a 94 Trackmaster chassis but its an underslung car like an asphalt car would be. But its a dirt car. So how would you set it up? everyone else is running over slung cars. So cant look to see how it supposed to be setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Three link, four link? Is the bar under the left axle tube straight or bent to miss the housing?

It had a pull bar that ran up above where drive shaft would be. It had a shock and a chain there. And had another shock at top of rear end forward to cage. Had no other bars in it. quote author=" confused" source="/post/1107/thread" timestamp="1371773035"]Three link, four link? It looks like it had a panhard bar on the back side of rear end

The pull bar is to keep the rear-end from rolling over itself. There should be some type of bars out by each tire conecting the rear-end to the chassis. With a panhard bar behind and the age, I bet it was a 3-link. Two lower bars mounted to the rear-end running forward to the chassis. The third would be the pull bar.

My question is where do the springs go? Or did it have sliders? One on each side? Shocks? Not allowed coil overs in my class. I see mounting brackets for something. Two on each side. Front and back of rear end axle housing. No perches on the rear end. But mounting holes on lower side of axle tube. Haven't ever messed with an underslung car before. And since it wasn't complete when I got it. I don't know what its supposed have and where

The "underslung" you keep refering to has nothing to do with set-up. That refers to the frame being below the rear end. The mounts(holes) you are talking about are for the shocks and sliders. Most people ran the LR spring in front and the RR spring behind the axle. The shocks were mounted on the opposite side of the axle from the springs. There should be corresponding mounts on the frame above the rearend.
Springs on sliders, shocks by themselves.
Hope that helps you somewhat.

Yea. That does help some. Everyone around here runs an overslung car so I could just copy their set up. But since my car is the only one with frame under rearend it makes it harder to put back together since I have no cars to look at with that set up. That was my confusion. I won't have the suspension travel that an over slung car has. So another question. How will it handle campared to the others that lift body as you accelerate? Will it be more like a street car?

You can replace the left underslung bar with a bent, lowered piece. If it is a square tube clip, cut a notch where the rearend hits and weld a tube to the bottom of it. Just make sure it is long enough to clear the axle tube as it moves forward too. This will help with adding space for the lift, drop that you are looking for. The bar angles and bite will create the lift. The underslung bar, if it is straight, will limit it. I personally don't like overrail cars. The tail section is not as strong as a well thought out underrail car. Remember, racing is a contact sport.

I can't lower the bar under rear end. It would be too low. So just have to deal with limited travel.

unless someone has updated it it, a 1994 car probably was a three link car, with a pull bar or a lift arm.
If you aren't emotionally attached to it or restoring it for some kind of display, I would get rid of it and buy anything 15 years newer

It is a three link. That's what we have to run at our track. I don't have money for another car. I got some info from a guy in northern missouri area. He told me how to set it up and where the springs and shocks should be. But thanks for everyone's help.

Have you thought about cutting out your left underslung. If this car is from 1994 it is probably built plenty tough enough that it should be able to survive without an underslung bar on the left side.
