I'm new here and new to racing dirt. I have a northern sport mod. I was given two tires from another racer who races the unlimited mods that are like brand new other than he blistered the second row of tread. He told me I could run them with no problems if I put the blisters toward the inside of the right rear or run it on the right front. My question is do you guys think this would be ok? Should I run them at all or am I asking for trouble? I would think the best place to run it on the front would be the left front as it doesn't seem to get as much force exerted on it. Thanks for the help in advance

The only place I would even consider using a blistered tire is on the LF. I would not use them. The "goody" is long gone.

IDK, I would have to look at it. Sometimes you can do some magic with the old grinder, and get some more life out of it. But the first owner of the tire always gets the best part.

There is only one of the tread blocks all the way around that has blistered it still has some of the block left just like the middle of the blocks has blistered. The tire is like brand new it has 15 laps on it. They are Hoosier g60s if that helps at all.

Safety first and luck second! I have been guilty of having drivers win on cord with asphalt pull-offs! He said it hooked better and wanted to run them again! So we did in a wet heat race! It worked and won it too! I knifed it when he came in!
