I would think a short upper bar on the left rear would have a tendency to over index the bird cage. Normally the top bars are around 2 inches longer than the bottom bars..

Some have and still use that set up
I would look at it more as using a 2" longer lower bar by increasing the lower bar length it slows down how fast the car gets on the bars and applies the bite over a longer distance as i understand it, usually used on higher momentum tracks and maybe this has gone away and no one uses it any more.
I however ran this setup for a while

Yep as per a add on bracket with arches built in with double holes for a slight change of two preset bars for the top or bottom. 6 bars and multi changeable left side! Brackets from hell as to run 3 link or 4, swing arm, j-bar or pan, multi pull as well! Z link with 5 spring or shock mounts. Custom built to please! I loved this car! It was fun and played well with others! A drivable dream! It was wrecked after making winning look to easy and was replaced by a 4 bar of greater issues with no options! Later tamed by moving and adding a negative lower angle and indexing hole to win 3 of 5 with 2 seconds of those 5 only to give way to a short bar! Some one always wants to buy a winning car and a new one looks good at the trailer with a trophy! Skinning a car is easier than a new cat! I had had some issues with designs!
