How is you panhard bar setup? My guess is you have too much angle in your panhard bar and it is causing the RR tire to bounce across the track instead of drive across the track. Also how much angle is in your right side bar? And is your right side spring on top or behind the rearend? Behind right in front left will make a really erratic car.
How does your car act on corner entry?

we have the IMCA panhard bar on behind the rearend. It is fairly falt, with 3" difference with rearend side centered on pinion. We have the rods at the same angle on both sides in the video, at about 17*. The RR spring is mounted on top.
Is there too much angle in Pullbar? Or maybe too stiff on the rubbers? We are getting 1.5" of travel out of it.
Thanks...

If your right side bar has that much angle in it, my guess would be that you have too much angle there and it may be getting up on the right side bar under acceleration. This will give the car a really weird feeling. I would lower your right side bar angle to below 10 degrees and see if that cures your problem. Everything else sounds like it is fairly consistent with a normal setup and shouldn't be causing anything crazy.
If you see most A mods they run a chain on the right side to keep the car from getting up on the right side bar. If you are running that type of angle that could be what is happening.

That makes sense! I will try that. I was wondering about too much angle in the pull bar or too stiff also. But. I will try the RR rod first.
Thank you

Just from watching the video, Im gona say you have to much angle in the pullbar and its too stiff. Looks like only an inch of travel to the naked eye. I dont like the pullbar rear mount bolt forward of the axle centerline either. If you took angle out it would sustain the drive off the corner longer and would probably fix the bounce. Change angle first, check travel, then adjust biskets if needed. Just my .02 and I always reserve the right to be wrong! LOL

How much angle does your left side bar have at full drop? Is your chain not allowing enough drop possible?
Agree with Dave that 3rd link has quite a bit of angle in it. If you only have 55 pounds of bit, but have a 200 pound spring not sure how it is not coming off the spring more unless there is not enough drop in the car.

What does it do to the pullbar when I take angle out of it? Does it make it seem softer, or stiffer, or does it even change the rate? I just want to understand what it is doing when i move it.

How old are the biscuits on that bar? The top most biscuit looks like its not as thick as the front one. I can't tell for sure, but it also looks like only the bottom biscuit is compressing, and the top one does not. ( Im not talking about the small biscuit on the pull bar. )
I would replace both biscuit's with brand new and re-set your pre-load again. It even hops when your not on the gas hard.
At first I thought you might be up on the bars at an extreme angle and this can cause that type of hop, but after seeing the pull bar, im thinking the biscuits are old/hard/bad/ or just too firm possibly.
I also noticed your on the A 40's instead of the G 60's that most of us run. By chance your not running a really low air pressure on the LR are you? Those tires roll out in the mid to high 80's and with soft tall sidewalls, sometimes can do strange things if you creep the air pressure down lower on them.
Are you running in the Wichita Ks area? Been a few years since ive raced out that way. =)

We changed the biscuits this week and will try them tonight. I want to eliminate that issue as well. The only junk tires we can run are the A-40's. I wish that we could be on g60's though. We are running 10 lbs in the LR and from the video it doesn't appear to be rolling over too much and swelling, I thought anyway. But I do understand the low air thing...
We are central Illinois.

Yea air pressure sounds ok. I wish I would have thought to mention that while you were replacing the pull bar biscuits, to also make sure everything slide/moved smoothly. We had to change those biscuits about every 4 races to keep them working good, but when our pull bar started to need biscuits, we would lose forward bite.
We did run on A-40's at that time, but we never had the wheel hop issue, just lack of drive.
I've watched the vid multiple times. The chain isn't going slack and tight with the hop... I can't tell by the video, but is the chain anchor on the rear end housing exactly a 12 oclock when the rear end is full droop and accounting for axle wrap?
Maybe the biscuits took care of the problem. We got rained out for the 2nd week in a row!

Biscuits, angle on pull bar, dropped rr rod, and changed rebound on lr shock. All or one of these helped. We went to a different track on Friday and was great with good forward bite. Went from 13th to 5th in five laps. Then a guy spun out in front of me and got my tire knocked down. Will try again. Thanks guys!

Well. It was better. We won the $2000 to win fall nationals at Fayette County Speedway last weekend. That is an awesome feeling.
