Looking to get a set of headers for my car, either the Schoenfeld 165 or 185. Does anybody have a preference between the two of those? Or have another brand to recommend? Must be 1 5/8" primary, 3" collector. These are going on a '78 Impala, so I have to make sure they will fit.
Also, are the Speedway Motors headers just white-boxed Schoenfelds with no paint? The picture looks awfully close.
Thanks.

I believe the Speedways are Chi-Com copies. I have seen them are was not impressed. A good header makes cheap HP… buy a name brand.

Gotcha, thanks. I know a few places' house-brand items are name brand stuff reboxed, didn't know if that was the case with Speedway's headers.
Any opinion on the 165 vs 185?

We have always used the schoenfelds, they fit well and they won't break the bank. We usually get 3-4 seasons out of them before they start to crack as for witch one to use, read the application for each header on the schoenfeld site and see witch one fits your application.

I would try to use the one with the longest primaries, if they fit. That will help with the torque curve some.

Avoid the cheap headers. The cheap ones I've seen have a clearance issue with #6 spark plug wire. I've had good luck with Shoenfelds.
