I see a lot of late models run one. My rules allow me to run one on my modified. Should I ? What are the advantages and when do you use it ? Dry slick, tacky, muddy or any time you want to try it ?

we ran one on our late model. the driver used it for quailfying. He said it really helped to turn the front end in . try it in hot laps or practice. If he likes it use it if not then don't. Every driver likes something different. Good luck

Thanks, I'll plumb it in and try it on practice nights, get a feel on how the car reacts, when to use, not to use. Back in the 70s I never had a r.f. brake on any of my racecars.

The front right brake shutoff is commonly used for tacky tracks or to help the race car turn....as it works like this. By allowing the front right tire to turn freely while slowing down the front left by applying brake..helps pull the front end into the turn.

They do help you get into the corner on tacky on entry, if your using brakes to shake the car loose getting in.
The big negative is in a hard quick panic type stop, you can loop the car around very quickly without meaning too.

A safety thing at times missing a wreck but we run so tight and hard off in the corner that 3 is a must! Faster when used correctly but prefer 4 on dry-slick for safety! I say we as a team! I never have made a lap but have the fame of making every call from my head! It gets in the mechanic's blood too! Safety first and winning second is atop my list! You have to finish to win! If it breaks it better be in first place and not a lap down or ahead!
