I'm new to the forum and iv read and learned a lot on here so I wanted to get opinions on my setup, I just bought an 80s regal street stock, needing a baseline setup to go to the track with in april. 3/8 oval dirt track,10in hoosier dot tires, car must weigh 3500 with driver, minimumal banking. Heres what i have right now. Springs lf 1000 rf 1200 lr 225 rr 175 Bilstein shocks 1.50 rear stagger 1. front / camber rf-3 lf+2 51% rear 53% left and 52.8% cross Lead is mounted high. 4in backspacing all the way around.
Any suggestions or changes are welcome, just trying to show up for the first race somewhat in the ballpark in this new car, thanks to all in advance.

Left rear spring is close as a 25-50 split is best but with a 200 split in the front with the total weight, I would go with 200 RR if loose or tight going in or out! springs tend to fight back and forth if not close with different shocks! Ride heights, trailing arm angles and amounts of movements control the rear steer and traction! Lean the car to the left 1"-1.25" in the front and 1/2"-3/4" in the rear! Lift for more steer and lower for less! You only have a 1.25" adj. measured at ft. of rear trailing arm bolt with driver. What shocks do you have! use the tie-rods to set front height as to level them when rolled over with 1/4-1/2 inch toe out depending on lift under power. Angle change as well as camber change affects this! Adjust caster ( upper ball-joints to the rear on both sides) to get the most twist out of the frame to give the driver control! Measure both sides at rear bumper or finder before and after changing settings and springs to see at full turns right and left from center and max. to see what is happening with set-up change! Lbs. on lt. rr. should change (less say 80 in center to 40 left and 120 or + right! This ft. setting allows driver to loosen or tighten with a turn and steer the rear as well as the front and control left rear weight! Give it the thought it deserves first! Weight should be low, left and rear for traction and to rock back to get straight off the corner!
