It is hard to give cam advice with all that has to be considered! Diving skills I do believe doesn't come into play at the flag stand when passing, in the corner maybe! I have never ran across a bad cam, just miss understood ones! There are ways to tune in all the rest to get the most out of most any when understood! We have turned 8700 with a 450 lift and pulled vacuum 12.25 at 1200 with a 318-336 duration! Degree and lash even on hydraulic cams can change all the specs to improve most situations if addressed correctly! Geometry plays a big part in tuning a cam at the valve! All cam choices are a gamble unless profiled before hand and even then testing will tell! Even the dist. fire power can warrant degree changes to match fuel or fuel ratios to match fire power! The world of horses is much larger than I care to deal with but I do love trying! Get your pulling range by the load and gear you are running or change cams and add gear to be faster with 110 lobe separation on a 350 stock crank with fuel, firepower, compression and temps of engine and air!
