I prefer 4 with left front transferring weight to right rear to hold traction and plant instantly only by lifting the throttle with spring weights verses wheel weight to get the compression to hold traction per wheel at all times and shocks to determine when and how quick transfer is made! A mid balance range of direction of movement (as if setting a bird cage, so to speak) for each spring as loaded! A minimal nose to level and a one inch roll up and one down Using only one half inch of steer and one half inch of roll-out to minimize tracking and traction issues during the roll as to keeping the car straighter threw the turn and faster in the straights! At times 2 seconds faster per lap in hot laps than 125 cars in our class and 1/3 of a second faster than the 57 mods there for a big race! It does work as 35 years of winning has proven to me! It Takes less motor to win with, as most have way more than we ever had while winning! The old saying of slow down and you will go faster, I believe is referring to keeping the car straight and planted through the turn and this will increase both corner and straightaway speeds! Not so exciting to drive but it has worked for us to win most of the time! The 2-4-6 inches of rear steer needs more roll to plant and three wheels to balance rear traction in the turn with extreme roll out as insurance as well as transitions to deal with in getting it up or down or nosed and hiked! A roll to level on all fours seems to work easier! Variations in bars are evened when rolled to provide driver control of traction per rear wheel as steer thrust in forward movement with little roll out to slow straightaway speeds by drag of a locked rear drive and variation of tire sizes! Even reverse stager still works using the method of set-up! Try it with your 3 wheel set-up as it can help straighten a sideways car! It will make it touchy- loose when lifting but quicker to straighten! I don't recommend 3 inches of reverse stager but we have won with it! Leaf spring cars do require more than a 1/2 inch of roll-out unless very dry slick! Less would add left rear weight and may drag into a turn better but does require getting more sideways as not to have a push getting off on 3 wheels! It will roll in harder! I prefer 4- planted to win!
