im running a 4 7 swap cam and was wondering what type of header to use im thinking a tri y will work not sure though

I don't have a clue other than looking at the tube order compared to your new firing order! The only 4-7 cams I have encountered was like the asymmetric touch, being precise on degree by having it picked correctly gives little room for advance or retarding to make it fit the rest of your build to a better tune! They are what they are and dam little you can tune with as far as degree! Good point in exhaust retune as in intake flow being switched also! I could not find more or smoother at 6400 in my process by all tune with a 4-7 cam!

Pros and cons on makes of headers, intakes and cylinder temps! This is where it gets back to individual spark plug gap to control timing and burn temps per cylinder to smooth things out at the stroke of power! Its amazing what .002---.004 can do for evening things out on hot or cold cylinders if out of the valves range of flow! Those oily threads again for that burn control!
