What part of the country are you guys from? Where is this forum based from? Doesn't matter really, I'm just curious.
I live in Alaska and race on a 3/8 mile medium banked clay oval.
I run in a class we call B Stock. Stock frame and sheet metal. The rules allow 9 inch floaters, tubular upper a arms, weight jacks, 10 inch wheels, race tires, beadlocks, race springs and shocks.
I run a 406 with vortec heads, running about 9.7:1 compression with a 350 auto. 5.76 rear gear, shoenfeld crossover headers going into a single 5 inch exhaust and a home made muffler. Rules didn't require a muffler, but I wanted it.
Our summers are short, and we mostly race every other Saturday because the salmon are running and a lot of folks want to fish.
We ran 9 feature races this past season. I got lucky and won 7 of 9. I also won all but 4 of the heat races. The best part was I had no issues with my car at all. Only got 2 dents too.
If I can learn how to post photos, I'll show you what it looks like. I have videos from a friend and in car go pro camera video. Don't know how to post video either.
I have several things in mind to improve for the next season. But I'm always looking for new ideas.
I look forward to talking with you guys. Hope I can learn from guys that get to race more often than we do here.
Sorry for such a long rambling post. I'll try to keep it shorter next time.
Thanks for your time, Bill.

Hey Bill,
I live in Springfield Missouri, right in the middle of the country. I drive a B modified for a family out of Augusta Ks.
Hope you get that video posted, would be cool to watch some racing while were in the off season.

Central Oklahoma, race a street stock which looks like a late model. Have a side business doing welding, race car repair, scaling, check spring rates & build bodies for any class of car!
My business pays for my racing!

Thanks for your replies. I grew up in southeast Missouri. New Madrid County. Graduated from Sikeston High School. Lived In Springfield for a year. Then moved to Alaska in 1979. I have owned an auto repair business for 18 years. Raced on dirt off and on for 25 years.
If my car was down there I believe it would probably be a street stock, maybe.
I did post a video of our July 4th race on this forum. It's just one segment of the race though. I did win it though, led every lap, flag to flag. Took an hour and 15 minutes to get 50 laps of green flag racing in.
Thanks again, Bill.
