Thinking all is right with the world after wining five or ten in a row!--- Not even 16 and lapping them can undo the hate you have beset on your-self from knowing how legally! Having to loose to make things livable was easier than winning again! Some fans didn't see it that way!

Is it the total weight of our cars slowing us down or the lead paint from our cribs--- I had no crib! Some feel ok with bars standing but I prefer them low! The extra lead never slowed us down by yielded more traction and holding the left rear down! Thus giving a quicker transfer or rear percentage on the throttle to hook with out the bars lifting! This puts the energy in lifting to good use in forward motion with out the added drag of air on a hiked body angle!

Starting pole is any type of advantage in winning--- While a win from flag to flag is fine and hard at times as to the complexity of the draw of today, a top 5 position and being able to finish may say more about the fun in racing! The guy in last place sometimes never gets to finish the race even where he started! In the old days, coming from the rear could happen 5 times in one race! Such a punishment to have! Starting pole was never so much fun trying to hang on as to gaining a few positions with two laps to go to win!

You have to know every setting--- Nope-- most change constantly and it is better just to think of where they go to in limitations, inside your head! I have seen home made gauges as to ranges that may have helped calculate things but just seeing the changes in your head gets you ahead of what it effects next! A step by step when learned and placed in some kind of orderly form will help you to see what happens in your head without the lines and strings of arches in geometry having to be used! A good eye and a ounce of thought can make you faster quicker once perceived as logical deductions instead of too technical to understand it all! I never have been too precise but went in for broader ranges to be within reach by limitations of movements! A choking up on the bat, get a bigger scope, a longer rope, type of out-look!

Living to tale about it! I recall less each day and dream more of others winning! Funny how the word race affects others in our world today! Getting ahead in life sometimes has more than who said what first or last at the track! Being there was a blessing to see a race and anyone win or loose!

Most of your handling problem is in the rear!--- Yes but what moves the frame by turning the steering wheel? Having the ft. end settings that steers the rear also is half the battle won! Good use of caster in the bump-steer process steers both ends of the chassis when correct!

Todays cars are faster-- and should be by cost alone but you still have to use your head to make it all work together! Tune of every idem down to the horse power you can't hook up being useless at any given point gives way to old school know-how! Race hard and study harder to win with a little luck in the mix!

The left or right rear is the place to tune a chassis-- nope-- preset standards for me! It is the best place to get things done but the left front that most consider useless off the ground is my spot of fine tune on the track! The rest has to be where it is to do the job at hand so the left front can be of little use but the best tuning spot if close to working with the rest for me!

People have to cheat to win!--- Again--- NEVER HAD TOO!!!! Winning so much that the masses have still to this day confront me on the street to ask! Tech is not a bad thing in my world but the lack there of is most unhandy if not willing to throw years of being proud of what I know out the window! Tear-downs were just more proof of being legal every were we went! Sometimes before letting us even hot lap! Most still believe I know how to cheat better than most instead of facing the truth at hand! Legal know-how was faster than cramming a bunch of parts on a car!

Running lean is not worth the risk--- I have seen motors blow in 3 laps for lots of reasons! Not enough fuel is only one factor! You can still run lean using all you can put in! There is more to lean than just fuel and once there feeding the beast becomes a chore as it bites in many ways! I can burn more fuel in the main than most do all night but the plugs and pipes are clean and the motor is so crisp you have to de-tune to hook it up! The only true gauge I have is the cushion of oil soaked into the metal and threads on the plugs! I don't have a number of extra horses gained but its had to be a lot to win so much!

Knowing what is good for the Goose at Christmas may be close to the Turkey at Thanksgiving while the Pumpkin and Sweet Potato pie run a close race there can only be one winner and rest assured it wasn't the Ham on either table! Over indulgence of left rear anytime can lead to upset of the right! You probably know how that feels by now! Its a shouldn't have done that kind of I need to go feeling but you have to wait it out! And they say adding rear percent slows you down!!! Moderation and good sense can do wonders in all things related to balance! How many things are you making happen that will do just fine when on there own if on the right side of traction? How much weight is too much--- when it effects anything else wrongly!
